Abstract

One of the essential competencies of the 21st century is creative thinking skills. Creative thinking skills are important because it helps students look at prblems and situation from a different perspective. The purpose of this study to an analysis of students' creative thinking skills profiles on the work and energy topic. The research used subject were 36 students of eleventh grade from 4 senior high school in Boyolali regency, Central Java. The subject is chosen by a cluster random sampling technique, the instrument used 7 question developed based 3 aspect of creative thinking skills, originality, fluency, and flexibility. The instrument tests were adaptation and modification on Scientific Creativity tests by Hu and Adey. The results of the research indicated that students creative thinking skills still low.
