Abstract

This paper describes the Comp2ROC package implemented in the R programming language. The theoretical contextualization behind this package are introduced including a general introduction to ROC curves, their main features, and how ROC curves are applied. Furthermore, methodologies are presented for comparing two ROC curves, both when two curves intersect and when they do not. Finally, the paper explains how and when to use the Comp2ROC package to compare two ROC curves that intersect. An example application is shown and discussed to fully demonstrate how to use the facilities in this package. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2013.
