Abstract

Explores the way in which IT capability is 'delivered' in secondary schools. Presents five models of delivery of IT within secondary schools - from all in IT lessons to all across the curriculum - with three alternative mixed modes. Survey of teachers in schools - showed that all five modes of delivery were in use to varying degrees. In general there was dissatisfaction with the way in which subject departments delivered IT, not sufficient IT teachers and insufficient time spent on IT.
