A case of superficial epithelioma with sebaceous differentiation is reported. A 53-year-old woman presented with one year history of a gradually enlarged, yellow asymptomatic plaque on her right neck. Histopathological examination showed superficial multilobular proliferation of neoplastic cells with numerous broad attachments to the overlying epidermis. The overall configuration was a plate-like proliferation of basaloid cells and vacuolated cells. Proliferative cell mass consisted of, in part, basophilic cells, and some cells had obvious cytoplasm. Sebaceous differentiation without atypia was also present. It was diagnosed as superficial epithelioma with sebaceous differentiation according to clinical and histopathological characters.
