Abstract

As studies have shown, the ability to involve mechanisms for the efficient use of the resource potential to ensure the maximum possible reduction in the energy intensity of production, including through the development of new energy-saving technologies in modern economic conditions, determine the competitiveness of products (enterprise, region, country). The article considers the concepts of "energy efficiency" and "energy saving" highlighting key problems of increasing energy efficiency at the level of Russian enterprises. It also substantiates the importance of the transition to energy efficient technologies in accordance with the principles of the International Standard ISO 26000 "Guidelines for Social Responsibility" in the development of design and estimate documentation for the investment projects. The paper characterizes energy efficiency as a key factor in the competitiveness of products (enterprise, region, country), quantifying the effectiveness of energy-saving measures and influence of energy efficiency on the level of competitiveness of the enterprise.
