Abstract

The author reflects on the implications of the ongoing Wall Street meltdown on various business enterprises, particularly the logistics industry as well as the airlines industry. He notes that the current financial crisis in the U.S. is either a market force adjustment or corporate hubris or just the result of some bad bets where some investors win or lose. If the logistics industry and the airlines be seriously affected by such turmoil, he stresses that the global economy will not survive.
