Abstract

The spinel type Cobalt Oxide (Co 3 O 4 ) nanoparticles were synthesized through simple mechanochemical method. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized through X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Field Effect Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM), Energy Dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and Raman spectroscopy respectively. The Crystallite structure of the prepared sample was analyzed through X-Ray diffractograms. The surface morphology and the presence of elements were investigated through energy dispersive spectrum. Raman spectroscopy was utilized for recording the vibrational pattern of the sample. The cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy reveals the good electrochemical performance of the Co 3 O 4 nanomaterials.
