Abstract

A quartet of papers reveal new mechanisms by which two key signaling molecules—mTOR and GSK3beta—could be targeted to either decrease or increase neurogenesis. The findings point to potential strategies to treat four CNS disorders: schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
