Abstract

This chapter is based on the research project "The collective memory of the victims of State crimes as a political struggle and a challenge to social policy'". The text presented below proposes an approach to the meanings of collective memory retrieval in the National Movement of State Crimes Victims in Colombia. The aim was to elucidate the social and political value of recovering the collective memory of State crime victims, as well as the implications thereof for public life, and the make-up of the population's social and political subjectivities.
