Abstract

Recently, various computing technologies such as embedded computer, and wireless access networks etc. are in general use, and applications in ubiquitous computing (ubicomp) environments are widely spread. In this paper, we propose an advanced flexible communication infrastructure for agent-based middlewares in ubiquitous computing environments. We focus on an communication scheme between agent platforms, which can flexibly select a appropriate communication scheme based on properties of inter-agent communications and computational resource statuses. We performed some experiments by using a prototype system and confirmed our proposed communication scheme works effectively. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
