Abstract

In contrast to previous reviews, the author has attempted to separate the epidemiology of gallbladder cancer from that of other forms of biliary cancer to the extent that the data allow. Studies in which gallbladder cancer is irretrievably mixed with other biliary tract cancers are so specified in the text.
