Abstract

This study formulates a behavior or fear of being left behind by certain activities carried out by the z generation towards other people, both on social media and in the surrounding environment. This is what keeps Generation Z in touch with what other people are doing on social media, giving rise to anxiety in them and the fear of being left behind in the modernization era. This theme was chosen because there are many teenagers who are always active in using social media which in the end cannot control themselves. Generation Z who is addicted to social media (FoMo) has positive and negative impacts in everyday life where social media addiction makes them always updated with the latest information which indirectly motivates them to do something, meanwhile negative impact they do not have a stand against themselves. This study uses the library study method which aims to find out how the Z generation is afraid of missing moments and how to overcome the fear of losing it. from this study it can be concluded that generation z is always connected with behavior that is afraid of being left behind in the modernization era.
