Abstract

This chapter is an introduction to the edited book of Family, Work and Wellbeing in Asia. It begins with a brief review of current research on family-work issues in this region, specifically focusing on four domains: the experiences of work and family lives; work organizations’ response to employees’ work-family concerns; the impact of the above two domains on family life, relationships and wellbeing ; and public policy concerning work-family life. Then, each chapter is summarized before it concludes with suggestions for future researchers.
