This chapter locates rehabilitation and reintegration of Maoist ex-combatants in the peace process in Nepal. First, it critically analyses the failed peace negotiations and the evolution of the peace agreement. In the light of the peace process, the chapter then unpacks contentions and confrontations surrounding the management of Maoists arms and armies. The chapter has an exclusive focus on the mechanisms, management, processes, key actors, and their needs and interests with respect to DDR and the peace process in Nepal.
