Abstract

The article offers information on a study on the value of pre-test responses and classroom assessment techniques (CATs) in optimizing single-session, student-centered information literacy lessons. The author says assessment gives crucial benchmark data on student information literacy skills which can be used by librarians to make informed and guided instruction to students.
