Abstract

The purpose of this article is to make a review on a set of tombstones with strange head-dresses, which traditionally have been identified with rolls head. Using iconography and comparative analysis we can discern the chronology of the pieces and draw parallels with other Galician female tombstones, showing that fashion can be a key element to analyze, understand and dating a work of art.
