Abstract

A cadaver may become the object of study for various reasons, and as such, may be situated anywhere between two different but complementary scientific areas: forensic pathology and forensic anthropology. The aim of this chapter is to explain precisely how to deal with the bodies in various states of decomposition, when and why the diverse specialists should intervene, and to provide useful tools for their study. © 2006 Humana Press Inc.
