Abstract

This paper presents a database of natural hand gestures ('IITiS Gesture Database') recorded with motion capture devices. For the purpose of benchmarking and testing the gesture interaction system we have selected twenty-two natural hand gestures and recorded them on three different motion capture gloves with a number of participants and movement speeds. The methodology for the gesture selection, details of the acquisition process, and data analysis results are presented in the paper. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
