The work brings up the system modeling of a Brushless DC motor and later the study on its responses using the conventional controller like PID with the fuzzy PID controller. The system’s speed characteristics were studied with respect to change in load. Based on the parameters, the system’s response to reach the steady state is analyzed using MATLAB simulation tool. The total harmonic distortion developed in the Brushless DC motor is calculated at different conditions like load, no load, and reduced load using the frequency analyzer. The results were evaluated by implementing the above said controllers, and the comparison was done in the conclusion.
