Abstract

The synthesis of new 1,3,4-thiadiazolines derived from diaryl and aryl-cycloalkyl ketones, via the corresponding thiosemicarbazones, is described. 1H- and 13C-NMR spectra as well as mass spectrometry disclosed the structures of the precursors and heterocyclic derivatives formed. In the case of spirane compounds, the effect of heteroatoms (S, N) on the diastereotopic hydrogens is discussed.
