Preliminary studies on denture plaque microbiology and acidogenicity

Abstract

Plaque taken from specific sites from the dentures of twelve subjects varied in microbiological content. The ratio of acidogenic to total plaque microorganisms was highest in plaque taken from beneath the maxillary denture.
