Abstract

A taphonomic classification has been carried out in relation with spatial distribution, stratigraphy and origin of charcoal remains (fire wood or construction material). A particular example was considered: a settlement entirely destroyed by fire. Some methodological considerations are made about the collect of charcoal remains. © 1992 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
