Abstract

Two additional new species of the psydrine genus Mecyclothorax Sharp are described from Papua New Guinea: M. cuccodoroi and M. loebli. They occur sympatrically at median altitude and are distinguished from all other New Guinean species by external structure and shape, and by the structure of their aedeagi. A revised key to all New Guinean species of Mecyclothorax is presented.
