Abstract

Currently, although IoT/M2M applications are developed and used, the development model is mainly a vertical type model that is used for specific services. This model is difficult to incorporate already developed functions into new services and requires redevelopment. Meanwhile, a horizontal type model can be used even except the specific services because once developed functions can be reused. Consequently, development efficiency becomes high. We have previously proposed a development method for application development that uses a Real Object-Oriented Model of a horizontal type model without being aware of common functions such as communication. In this paper, we compared and verified the number of source code and development time for a crime prevention application and a physical condition management application that developed by using the vertical type model, the horizontal type model and the proposed method. As a result, we confirmed that the second application development was more effective than the first application development.
