Abstract

The complete equipment software cost estimation requires a number of sectors, involving diverse questions and complex hierarchy. However, the cost estimation of equipment software are mostly executed in system planning phase, when cost estimation personnel has not fully understood the functions, performance demands and system environment situations of target system, related information needed in estimation is less accurate even can't be available. Status of this kind of "zero information" greatly limits the selections of various estimation methods, especially those parameter estimations based on statistics. © 2012 Springer-Verlag London Limited.
