Abstract

The forest of Zurichberg, Switzerland, was sampled in order to determine a method to be used for forest inventory. It was carried out in two ways: 1) by an accurate but costly terrestrial survey on regularly spaced plots; and 2) by an aerial photographic campaign. The photos give, at low costs, large quantities of less accurate qualitative information. -from Authors
