Abstract

Within the PAGEIN project a software environment is developped, that allows to integrate supercomputer simulations and their analysis using different visualization methods in a cooperative working mode. To discuss ongoing simulation and visualization audio-/videoconferencing is closely integrated. The architecture of the software environment is described. Special emphasis has been put on the optimal usage of different network technologies, supercomputer capabilities as well as high end workstations with multimedia support. Some measurement results are presented based on the distribution of processes in a heterogeneous hardware environment.
