Abstract

The article discusses the important contributions of the journal to the field of plant systematics and open access publishing. The peer-reviewed journal was launched on November 1, 2010 and continues to grow in reputation and volume since its launch. The journal also was the first to announce the revolutionary changes instituted in the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi and plants (ICN).
