Abstract

In this chapter, Z-transformation-based embedding and authentication process have been elaborately discussed. Basics of Z transformation is discussed with region of convergence (ROC). Generalized Z-transform pair is given and from where 2 x 2 sub-image-based forward and inverse transformation is computed with numerical examples for both one-dimensional and two-dimensional transformations. Reversible computations for different values of r (1 to 5) in Z domain are done elaborately. Embedding into the imaginary coefficients of transform domain of Z is also given. A complete algorithm with implementation results is also given. Application of Z-transformation is given at end.
