Abstract

Although phosphate solubilizing capabilities seem to be widespread within bacterial taxa, it is surprising, that the description of phosphate solubilizing bacteria is restricted to relatively few bacterial genera. Among the bacteria, strains belonging to the genus Rhizobium and related organisms have been investigated most extensively until now.
