The paper is devoted to the consideration of the possibilities of managing complex energy systems. An approach related to the optimal planning of various types of energy services is shown. The paper proposes to apply approaches based on queuing systems. The divisions that will manage the energy flows in the distribution power system are considered from the point of view of using multiple flows of homogeneous events. The considered approaches will be used in the course of the formation of a simulation modeling scheme and optimization of parameters in the power system. The possibilities of energy monitoring are considered. When choosing indicators, optimization modeling is used. Further, expert analysis is seen as a very effective approach when analyzing a variety of promising options. As a result, the results are presented that demonstrate the effectiveness of the selected indicators.
