Abstract

Cardiac computed tomography (CCT) is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring of the recent innovations in cardiologic imaging [1-16]. The introduction of the latest generation multislice CT systems (64 slices [9-11, 13-16]) and dual source systems [17-20] capable of elevated spatial and temporal resolution has established noninvasive coronary artery imaging in clinical practice. The correct use of the procedure however cannot be divested from knowledge of its limitations and advantages with respect to other diagnostic techniques.
