PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW PADA MATERI PERSAMAAN KUADRAT DI KELAS IX MTSN 4 KOTA BANDA ACEH

Abstract

Hasil studi pendahuluan peneliti di MTsN 4 Banda Aceh menunjukkan bahwa prestasi belajar matematika yang dicapai siswa masih rendah. Pada pembelajaran matematika juga ditemukan keragaman masalah yaitu kurang aktifnya siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut guru dapat menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Model kooperatif tipe jigsaw merupakan tipe pembelajaran kooperatif dimana pembelajaran melalui penggunaan kelompok kecil siswa yang bekerja sama dalam memaksimalkan kondisi belajar untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dan mendapatkan pengalaman belajar yang maksimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw pada materi persamaan kuadrat di kelas IX MTsN 4 Banda Aceh dan untuk mengetahui aktivitas belajar siswa. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw pada materi persamaan kuadrat telah melebihi nilai KKM.Penelitian yang dilakukan berupa penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas IX MTsN 4 Banda Aceh, sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah kelas IX_1 MTsN 4 Banda Aceh. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak 4 kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa soal tes dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t pihak kanan. Dari hasil tersebut terlihat t hitung = 1,82 dan t tabel = 1,71 dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 sehingga t hitung >t tabel maka H1 diterima. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw pada materi persamaan kuadrat di kelas IX_I MTsN 4 Banda Aceh telah mencapai ketuntasan. Analisis data aktivitas siswa dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus persentase dan dari ke-8 aspek pengamatan aktivitas siswa, aspek 1 sampai dengan 7 sudah aktif namun aspek pengamatan ke-8 tidak aktif. In mathematics learning also found the diversity of problems that is less active students in learning activities. To overcome these problems the teacher can use the jigsaw type cooperative learning model. Jigsaw type cooperative model is a type of cooperative learning where learning through some small groups of students working together to maximize learning conditions to achieve learning objectives and gain the maximum learning experience. The purpose of this research is to know the result of learning mathematics of student through applying of jigsaw type cooperative learning model on matter of quadratic equation in class IX MTsN 4 Banda Aceh and to know student learning activity. The hypothesis of this research is result of student learning taught by applying cooperative type jigsaw learning model on the matter of quadratic equation has exceeded the value of KKM. This research conducted in the form of quantitative research with experimental approach. The population in this study is the entire class IX MTsN 4 Banda Aceh, while the study sample is class IX_1 MTsN 4 Banda Aceh. This research conducted as many as 4 meetings. Data collection techniques in the form of test questions and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis is done by using the right-t test. From the results seen t count = 1.82 and t table = 1.71 with significant level α = 0.05 so t count> t table then H1 accepted. Thus it is concluded that the learning outcomes through the application of cooperative learning model of jigsaw type on the material of quadratic equation in class IX_I MTsN 4 Banda Aceh has reached completeness. Student activity data analysis is done by using formula percentage and from 8 aspects observation of student activity, with 7 already active but 8th observation aspect is inactive.
