Abstract

Road and traffic sign detection is a general problem in outside environment. The main aim of this project is road sign detection using colour segmentation. It tells the qualities of the road and traffic signs, the prerequisites and challenges behind road and traffic signs identification, It deals with outdoor images and the different signs on the colour analysis. But we are using one of the thresholding methods in segmentation based on the colour. In that project, image processing plays a central role in the road and traffic signs detection, mainly in colour analysis but this faces many problems regarding the stability of the received information about road and traffic signs of colours. The colour of road and traffic signs varying with respect to the daylight conditions and without colour model can lead to a good solution. But we take the preprocessing image in this paper. There is no problem occur. This implies there is a great deal of work to be done in the field, and a considerable measure of change can be accomplished. In our proposed system, colour segmentation is used to detect the road and traffic signs. This method is tested on 20 road and traffic sign images in different types of lighting conditions and they show high outdoor images in different light conditions, and they show high heftiness. If use another technique for reliability.
