Abstract

In the process of modelling and simulation (M&S) for rocket motor, verification, validation and accreditation (VV&A) is of great importance to shorten the research period and save research cost. By analyzing the problems that frequently occur in the process of M&S for rocket motors, Specific verification and validation strategy was proposed in this paper; Three working stages of zero-dimension internal ballistic for certain solid rocket motor were modeled and simulated, whose effectiveness was later analyzed by using methods of goodness-of-fit as well as gray correlation analysis. The result shows: Compared with average evaluation system, such a strategy is able to provide the effectiveness in every stage of M&S for rocket motors with quantitative indicators, in addition to making more use of test data, which provides basis for analyzing, evaluating and improving M&S system for rocket motors.
