Finite element numerical simulation for 2-D ground water groundwater movement in confined aquifer

Abstract

According to the plane suppose of groundwater movement in confined aquifer, the numerical model of 2-D ground water flow in confined aquifer with variable h was established and was calculated by the finite element numerical simulation method. For a instance is validated by using matlab.the numerical simulation shows that the calculated results of the finite element numerical simulation method is in good agreement with the calculated result of the finite difference method. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
