Analisis Pengendalian Persediaan Bahan Baku Tebu di PG Semboro PT. Perkebunan Nusantara XI Kabupaten Jember

Abstract

Sugarcane raw material provision in sugar factory should be in sufficient condition and not deficiency or excess so that the production process runs smoothly. The purpose of this study are to determine economical order rate of raw material provision, time of re-ordering and sugarcane raw material safe-keeping provision in PG Semboro PT, Perkebunan Nusantara XI, and to know sugarcane raw material provision cost in PG Semboro PT. Perkebunan Nusantara XI. The method of determining research area is done purposively (purposive methods). The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. The analytical tool used is Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Re-Order Point (ROP), Safety Stock (SS), and Total Inventory Cost (TIC). Based on result of this research, it can be concluded that : the calculation of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) analysis is 5,924.8 tons or higher than total order made by PG Semboro which is 5,095.9 tons. This result indicates inefficient order in PG Semboro because it causes higher purchasing frequency and provision cost. The value of Re-Order Point (ROP) and Safety Stock (SS) in sugarcane raw material provision amounts 6,500 tons which indicates that sugarcane raw material order is lack of raw materials. Total Cost Inventory (TIC) Value is Rp. 1.093.034.443,34, - or less than provision cost incurred by the company for about Rp.1.271.427.117,06, -. This result indicates the inefficiency of provision costs incurred by PG because by economic calculation, frequency of purchasing raw material will be less so that the total cost of provision will be lower.
