Methods for wastewater treatment

Abstract

This chapter provides extensive knowledge about multiple techniques used to treat wastewater. It also presents different types of water pollution depending on their specific contamination sources. Hazardous impacts of water pollution on different fields, human life, and the environment are also discussed. Different types of wastewater purification methods and technologies for improving effluent quality are explained. The combined biological, chemical, and physical treatments for purification of wastewater bodies are discussed. Future aspects and innovation in design for treatment techniques are proposed.
