Educación intercultural en el contexto Latinoamericano. Una mirada a la Etnomatemática

Abstract

Resumen Este artículo se basa en el análisis de la interculturalidad y la Pedagogía intercultural etnomátemática que se han creado en Latinoamérica para dar respuesta a la demanda en educación intercultural, haciendo re-ferencia a los pueblos indígenas y afrodescendientes en Latinoamérica. El objetivo de este artículo es pre-sentar la Etnomatemática como curso en el programa de formación de profesores indígenas de la Licencia-tura en Pedagogía de la Madre Tierra (LPMT) de la Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia. El problema que se discute es la confrontación de saberes y conocimientos de personas pertenecientes a esferas culturales diferentes, en el marco de la educación intercultural en el contexto latinoamericano. Por último, se plan-tean posibles soluciones para mejorar la educación intercultural y lograr su revitalización. Abstract This article is based on the analysis of the interculturality and the intercultural entomatical pedagogy created to respond to demands on Intercultural Education by referring to the indigenous and Afrodescendant peoples in Latin America. The objective of this article is to present the Ethnomathematics as a course in the training program for indigenous teachers of the Bachelor of Pedagogy of Mother Earth (BPME) of the University of Antioquia, Colombia. The discussed problem is the knowledge confrontation of persons who belong to different cultural domains, in the framework of intercultural education in the Latin America context. Finally, certain possible solutions to improve the Intercultural education and to the revitalization.
