Abstract

Multi-Tenant is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model that allows the sharing of WEB systems by several customers (tenants) as if they were unique and exclusive to each one [4]. This paper proposes to see the Multi-Tenant systems as a set of transactions and periodically charge their users according to the number of times that each transaction is used. The cost of each transactions was set in proportion to its complexity measured by the Function Point Analysis. This pricing scheme is closer to the users’ business needs and thus facilitates the evaluation of the relation between cost and benefit of using the software. A case study was constructed and applied in a real ERP with a hundred of clients to validate the proposal.
