Abstract

CAMBRIAN TO SILURIAN NON-MARINE In late Silurian time, more or less at the Ludlow/Downton (or Pridoli) boundary, about 405 million years ago ( , 1977), after the arrival of the tiny vascular plant, Cooksonia, vascular vegetation developed on land.
