Patients who have a residual lesion of the median nerve at the level of the wrist despite a surgical decompression,orevenduetothesurgeryitself,pose adifficult problem,i.e.,freeing the nerve anew while also improving its local vascularization. © 2007 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
