Abstract
The macrobenthic assemblages of Buenos Aires Province continental shelf were studied from samples collected by the RN "Capitán Oca Balda" along a transect from 38 m to 218 m deptb. Tbree faunistic areas were determined, corresponding to tbe coastal, central and external sbelf, inbabited by species originated from the Argentine and/or Magellanic Zoogeograpbical Provinces. Tbese results confirm the presence of different ecological areas in tbe Argentine Continental Sbelf.
