Abstract

Folk paper cutting art is the folk carrier of Chinese nation deposited for thousands of years, contains the elite of national culture and art, which is one of the important representatives of excellent Chinese traditional culture. The introduction of folk paper cutting art to the curriculum system of college art education can make up for the shortages of higher education, pass on and protect national art, uphold patriotic passion, enhance folk culture and art education, improve the humanistic attainments of students in colleges and universities, restrain corrosive influence of adverse culture, shape physical and psychological health of college students, learn the elite of folk art creation and improve aesthetic level. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
