Abstract

Card bibliographical catalogue or online catalogue - the latter also known as online public access catalogue - have been designed to better organize and fortify the archived items in a library. Meeting the needs of library consultant in the search for information is the goal of the construction of such databases. For many users, the initial objective for the creation of these softwares, do not share the capacity of adjustment with the new systems for presenting the information after the search. There is, in the market database, a range of software that would support the latent necessities as well as those shown by users of those catalogs, for remote and local searches. The purpose of this article is to show new anthologies, different presentation formats and to point out the real needs of information required by the user in his/her searches.
