Abstract

Photochemotherapy (PUVA) combines the use of pso-ralens with long-length (320-400 nm) ultraviolet radiation (UVA), producing a beneficial effect that cannot be reached by the two components separately. Psoralens can be administered orally or topically (solutions, creams, or bath) with posterior exposition to UVA. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
