Abstract

Electricity energy needs are increasing in line with the growth of progress in sectors such as the economy, industry and various other fields, electrical energy that generally uses conventional fuels such as petroleum and coal causes its availability in nature to be depleted, efforts are being made to address the problem by using new and renewable energy, which will never run out of natural sources as the sun, the amount of solar energy that can be converted depends on the area of solar cells used, sunlight received by the PV module will be converted into direct current electrical voltage to be charged to the battery by the solar charge controller, which serves to avoid overcharging the battery, the battery will send the direct current needed by the inverter to be converted into alternating current so that it can be used on loads that require, this study used a solar power plant with a capacity of 200 wp with solar charger controller, able to meet the power needed of the electric load when converted into a voltage of 220 VAC, testing using soldering load, the average power factor obtained is 0,97, the average power is 13,13 watt.
