Abstract

The article argues that a civic-military conception of full-time education is underway in Brazilian educational policy, originating from the government of Jair Messias Bolsonaro (2019-2022), which established guidelines for the development of the National Program of Civic-Military Schools. We use the historicism as a method, to place the full-time education, and the bibliographic review and document analysis, first to have a general understanding about the object, the referred program, and second to identify factual information (guided by what we support here) in legislation and published reports in the large network that evidenced the civic-military conception of full-time education in progress, perceiving as well, in a practical example, the first movements of a school in the city of Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil.
