Abstract

Routine postoperative management following major vascular surgery has evolved significantly. Surgical techniques are moving toward minimizing the invasiveness of procedures such as endovascular repair of complicated aortic aneurysms and the use of local and/or regional blocks when performing operations. © 2010 Springer-Verlag US.
