Abstract

According to the welding characteristics of aluminum and magnesium plates, the overall design scheme of cold welding power supply was discussed. The main control circuit board with Digital Signal Processor (DSP) as the core is designed on the hardware. In order to improve the dynamic characteristics of the power supply, the voltage and current waveform dual polarity phase shift soft switch control system is adopted. On the software, in order to realize the self-adjustment of welding process parameters, a special welding expert system is designed, which adopts Newton interpolation algorithm, with the characteristics of parameter unification, parameter automatic generation, parameter storage and self-learning. The welding experiment results show that the welding process is stable, and the weld joint is well formed. Overall, the welding quality is good. The validity of the cold welding power supply based on expert system for aluminum and magnesium sheet metal is proved.
